MONOL – IELTS Practice Exam
I have been taking IELTS classes since last month.
MOCK TESTS are conducted every Friday here in Monol. All IELTS students are scheduled to take a test at 8:00 am.
The first test is to finish TASK 1 and TASK 2 about a certain topic within 1 hour. TASK 1 is essay writing in which you have to write 150 words (for GT) and 250 words for TASK 2. The writing test should be taken with caution so as to not repeat the same words. If there are not enough words, there is a penalty.
So you should better study a lot of similar vocabulary, right?
After I have taken the exam, my wrong answers will be marked, as shown in the picture above, I can see what I did wrong, what is lacking, and my overall score. After I have taken the writing test, I will immediately take the listening exam.
Listening evaluations are done in English, so it’s a good idea to listen to a lot of English pronunciation to get your ears to adapt. After hearing everything, you will be given the last 10 minutes to answer. During this time, you can write down your answer on the answer sheet.
Next is the reading test. You have to be very good at managing your time because the reading is long. If you do not know how to solve the problem, do not hang on to the problem and go to another problem. If you do not do this, you may miss the easy problems in the back.
Writing is also the same as reading.
Lastly, there is a spoken test. In school, you will have lunch and one-on-one lessons with your teacher. You can see how many different expressions are possible, and how you can use quality words, grammar and pronunciation.
Speaking is also a topic, and after understanding the topic, you can answer within the time frame of the topic.
After I have taken the exam, the teacher corrects the wrong grammar, words, and so on, so I can see what I lack. Every week, after a mock test, I can practice and practice and find out what parts do I need to improve.
